​EARLY BIRD CARE

 

Chickpeas offers Early Bird care before the scheduled DOE day begins. Early Bird care is offered from 8:00-8:45am, Monday through Friday. The 2025-2026 rate is $12/day. Families can sign up for three, four, or five days per week. There are three registration periods each year. More registration information will be provided upon enrollment to Chickpeas.

AFTER-SCHOOL

​

Chickpeas also offers After School care after the DOE scheduled day ends at 3:20. After School is offered from 3:30-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. The 2025-2026 rate is $30/day. Like Early Bird care, families can sign up for three, four, or five days per week and there are three registration periods each year. More registration information will be provided upon enrollment to Chickpeas.

NON-DOE DAYS 

​

Chickpeas remains open 8:00am-6:00pm for an additional 10 days between September to June. We refer to these days as our non-DOE Days, and families may choose to send their child to as few or as many of them as they wish for an additional fee. The rate for the 2025-2026 school year is $150/day, not including Early Bird and/or After School care.

 

For the 2025-2026 school year, Chickpeas non-DOE Days (fee based) are listed below:

 

1. Tuesday, September 23rd, Wednesday September 24th - Rosh Hashanah

2. Thursday, October 2nd - Yom Kippur 

3. Monday, October 20th - Diwali

4. Tuesday, February 17th through Friday, February 20th - Mid-Winter Break

5. Friday, March 20th - Eid al-Fitr

6. Wednesday, May 27th - Eid al-Adha

CAMP IN JULY

​

Join us for summer fun in July! In 2026, Chickpeas will offer summer camp for four weeks, from Monday July 6th - Friday July 31st.

Camp includes daily sprinkler play in our backyard, trips to Prospect Park, and all day field trips to places like the Transit Museum, Coney Island, Puppetworks/JJ Byrne Playground, and more! Currently enrolled students will receive first priority in our camp admissions -  though alumni (up to 5 years old), incoming 3K students, and any other interested families are encouraged to register.

 

Summer Camp enrollment information will be available starting January 2026!
