OUR HEAD TEACHER
Katrina Green has been working with young children for 10 years. She attended Smith College for her undergraduate degree and Teachers College at Columbia University for her masters degree. She is a dually certified teacher in general and special education and has worked in a range of early childhood settings including Head Start, therapeutic early learning centers, enrichment programs, and infant and toddler separation programs.
Katrina is passionate about social justice, biking, dancing, and cheese.
Arielle Stein ("Arie")
Arielle Stein has been working as a preschool teacher for 6 years. She has worked as an art teacher and teaching assistant in schools with varying teaching styles including emotional education and Reggio Emilia based practices. She has a background in fine arts and is currently pursuing her masters degree in early childhood education at Brooklyn College. She has an endless love and admiration for children and can’t wait to join the Chickpeas family this fall.
Arie is very passionate about metal smithing and water colors and spends her free time working on a long time jewelry company she formed as a side project.
Kaileigh Schippa has been teaching and working with young children in a variety of settings for the past 9 years. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development & Learning from Central Michigan University, with a minor in language arts, she went on to work as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. Kaileigh has experience working internationally, teaching a second grade class for a portion of time in Ireland. She is a lover of photography, film, literacy, and all things ice cream.
While she is new to New York, Kaileigh is excited and ready to share her passion for art, literacy, and learning through play with Chickpeas!
